Why K-Beauty Fans Love the AGE-R Medicube Booster Pro!

Here’s why K-beauty Fans love the Medicube Booster Pro! One of the most obvious reasons is the rave reviews from top K-beauty content creators like So-Yi.

So-Yi, better known by her YouTube channel “Soyitube” or “Soy TV (소의튜브),” is a Korean esthetician and a candid content creator who gives information about esthetics, glass skin, and the reality of skin treatments. Having worked at a dermatology clinic in Seoul, her knowledge is on point, and now, she shares her professional expertise  with others!

The device that So-Yi loves.

Medicube AGE-R Booster

So-Yi has called Medicube Age-R Booster Pro one of the most innovative at-home beauty devices she’s ever tried. In a Marie Claire Korea feature, she included the Medicube Age-R Booster Pro as a top pick.

So-Yi says,  “The teardrop-shaped head is great for both broad areas and tricky spots like the nose bridge or between the brows.”  She absolutely loves the device’s thoughtful design for home facials.

She was also impressed by its 6-in-1 functionality, noting that “this one revolutionary device delivers four main modes that cater to four separate skincare concerns: glow, elasticity, pore tightening, and volume. Plus, there's LED and vibration sub-modes, effectively combining six types of skin treatments in one.”

This all-in-one design means users can address multiple skin concerns with a single tool, a benefit enjoyed by those seeking professional-level results at home. So-yi recommends tailoring each mode to your specific needs.

After a few weeks of use, she observed improvements in skin texture and firmness, and even reported that friends asked, “Your skin looks great! What are you using?” She told them that the Medicube AGE-R Booster had become her secret weapon.

What modes does the Medicube AGE-R offer?

The Medicube Air Shot Mode

This works for enlarged pores and loss of elasticity.

The Derma Shot (EMS) Mode

This works for sharpening facial contours and chiseling the jaw. The derma shot is personally one of my favorite modes as well. It includes a light blue LED spot treatment therapy, and my acne prone skin loves it.

So-yi says the Booster Pro is ideal for busy skincare lovers because “it delivers all of the glow, firming, and pore-care benefits that several treatments would”

This is a great option for dull skin.

Cassandra Reviews: My experience with the Medicube AGE-R Booster Pro

During New Years, I first heard about the Medicube Booster Pro from a Korean makeup artist at an award show in Seoul, South Korea. We got into a conversation about the everlasting trend of glass skin in Korea and how it is achieved so frequently compared to the US.

The answer lies in an emphasis on holistic skincare. While yes, it's true that plastic surgery and filters are common in Korea too, one of the greatest differences between Western and Korean approaches is the heightened prioritization of thorough skincare routines. She described how many of her clients wouldn’t even think about starting makeup without a good skincare routine.

Compared to the West, skincare is taken to an elevated level. For instance, look at the skincare device market. Over here, skincare devices are mostly bought by people who are very educated about skincare via their own research. People may also be interested in skincare devices because they have access to estheticians who use them. However, skincare devices are popular all over South Korea for men and women alike.

But, is the Medicube AGE R Booster actually popular in Korea?

Cassandra actually got the chance to speak with the makeup artist about this. She had the  Medicube Pro in 2023 before it had even launched!

“I use this during my skincare routine before I put on makeup,” she told Cassandra.

“I even use it on some of my celebrity clients because they want a glow even after they remove makeup.”

After speaking with her, I was still a bit skeptical. But ultimately, I managed to get my hands on it and ended up taking the device home. This was before it launched in the USA.

As I began to use it, I kept an open and observant mind, and eventually, it grew on me. I loved learning how to use each of the 4 modes. Although Medicube claims that the device has 6, I consider it more of a 4-in-1.

This is not to take away from it. I LOVE the 4 modes it provides! I feel that it's WAY better than the Booster H, which was one of their original Medicube devices celebrities. And over the past year and a half, it has become one of my absolute go-to skincare devices, even though it can be a bit cumbersome to travel with.

Another one of my favorite features is the auditory call-outs it provides while using it. My only regret is that I couldn’t get it at a better price originally, but there are many ways to find it on sale!
