Before and after 20 days of use. I’ve been using this product 2X a day(AM & PM) and I’ve definitely noticed results. Some of my acne marks are fading and I can tell an overall evening out of my skin tone and my dark circles under my eyes aren’t so bad anymore either. It doesn’t feel greasy on the skin and I do wear makeup over it once it’s dried. I consider my skin VERY sensitive and this does not burn my skin whatsoever. I will continue to use this product hopefully for continued results
This is my first ever vitamin C drop. I love it and i'm thankful for what it's currently doing to my skin. It has a very low concentration of vitamin c, so if you are hoping for an overnight miracle it might disappoint. However, if you stay consistent day and night the results will follow and you'll be happy. I recommend using this every night. During day it depends on you because sun does play a role with how vitamin c works on your skin (it kinda lowers the effectiveness). I wear this day and night because I have heavy acne scarring, so I want to get as much help as I can morning or night. Application at night is what really matters though because that's when you're skin is repairing so you always want to apply at night. I started out with 1 drop, then 2, and now I use 3 drops (one on each cheek and one on my forehead). Start out easy just so your skin can get use to direct contact of the vitamin c.
Three stars for results: 5% is ideal for those who are new to vitamin C. With consistent nightly use, this product diminished my acne spots noticeably. Minus 2 stars for packaging: Vitamin C rapidly breaks down in light, and needs to be in an opaque airtight bottle, in a cool place. I wasn't able to get through half the bottle before it started oxidizing into an off-putting yellow color. The print also began rubbing off, which defeats the purpose of having instructions. Nowadays, there are many vitamin C serums/drops on the market, I recommend choosing a different brand with better packaging.
I'm shocked by how well and how quickly this worked. I've been using it for just over a month and already I can see that the two larger freckles (um, age spots) on my cheek are faded to the point that they're barely visible. At this rate, they'll be pretty much gone by next month, but even if they don't get any lighter, it's made a big difference. It does have a slightly oily feel that makes it easy to smooth into skin, but it doesn't clog my pores or irritate my very sensitive skin. There's just a slight warm feeling when I apply it. I usually use it before my regular night cream, waiting a few minutes between the two, and then first thing in the morning (I let it do its thing while I work out and then wash my face and moisturize afterwards). UPDATE: I used this product for a few months and then switched to one with a higher percentage of Vitamin C only to find that it didn't work nearly as well. I'm back to using Klairs and am so impressed by the positive change I see in my skin when I use it--it's brighter, smoother, and more even--even though it's a mild product.
I ordered this product after watching JoanKeem's and Edward Avila's review of it. I was expecting to see my acne scars fade away, which they did, but not to the extent that I had hoped for. BUT this product in combination with a fade cream (I use Nadinola skin brightening cream) did fade my scars A LOT....like within a week. For that reason I give this product 4 stars. I still like this product because it gives my skin a mild chemical exfoliation without making me peel like crazy like other serums. It also reduced my pore size and made my skin really really smooth. As for acne scaring, this product does help a little but if you really want to see results you may want to incorporate a fade cream into your skin regimen. The exfoliation of the serum + the brightening of the fade cream = new bright skin after the dead skin peels.
After cleansing, apply about half a drop to the entire face and gently massage it into the skin. For those with sensitive skin, use after toner and apply 3-4 drops. For those with extra sensitive skin, mix a few drops into serum or lotion and apply to face.
