Not as good as SPF 15

I have been a long time buyer of Murad Mattifier SPF 15. I was disappointed they stopped making that one but I was willing to give this one a try. I've been using it now for about a month and it doesn't compare to the previous mattifier (SPF 15) which was MUCH better at oil control... not sure why they stopped selling the SPF 15 version. The 45 version must not have the same ingredients. I noticed it starts to wear off in half the time the SPF 15 version did. I wish Murad would reconsider and bring back the original SPF 15 mattifier.

The LEAST irritating thing I've tried for my sensitive eyes

I have been flailing around looking for a new higher SPF moisturizer after developing skin cancer in my 30s after 20 years of wearing Olay Sensitive 15 SPF face moisturizer every day. It got me right at the hairline. Ugh. Of the few I've tried so far, this smells LOVELY and works well, goes on pleasantly then fades into my not noticing... UNLESS I sweat. Then, it's into the eyes (in a way it didn't go when I was just putting it on my eye area) and ow ow ow. I will keep using it, at least, when I'm not working up a sweat and when it's cooler out.

Like the old version, new version is better

I was a big fan of the SPF 15 version, but actually think the SPF 45 version is better. Hard to find a mattifying face mosturizer with SPF protection and this one does a good job. The older SPF 15 version was thicker so you had to use more to cover your face. As a result, I used to go through the tube really fast. This newer version goes on smoother, so the same size tube lasts longer. I still like the results and you get better sun protection. I am not surprised to see some reviews noting that they don't like the change, because it is different if you were used to the older version.

One of the best sunscreens for oily skinned individuals

I bought this upon a suggestion from a skincare community. I have oily skin (and I mean blot 4 times a day oily, not just lightly glowy oily) I wanted to find a sunscreen that doesn't clog pores and isn't greasy, because I do not need any additional shine on my face. Nature takes care of that for me. So I got this to try. It's pretty pricey, no doubt about it, so I'm holding it to a pretty high standard. Overall opinion? This is a pretty solid choice. Pros: - Cream consistency. A lot of mattifying suncreens tend to be a milky consistency which is messy when you are applying quickly on the go, or in your car. - Goes on matte - Mattifying, but not drying, although I do use a moisturizer under. - For whatever reason, it serves as a great primer for makeup. Makeup glides on it and sticks to it really well. - Does the job as far as sunscreen ability - Brought down oiliness. I now blot only 2-3 times a day as opposed to 4. Obviously I wish I stayed matte all day, but I've given up on that possibility for me. It does help makeup from moving around though. Cons: - It's pricey for the size you get. I included a picture of it next to my pencil for comparison. - Might be too drying for less oily people and cause rebound oil if moisturizer is not used underneath

    Definitely controls oil

By lunch time my face will be COVERED in oil, I mean very very oily. This lotion definitely works wonders with controlling oil. I put some on my face at lunch and by 7 when I was my face there was still NO oil. I use a deep clean face wash at night to get rid of oil, I didnt think about it and still used it for two days. I guess between the lotion making my skin not oily and the face wash trying to remove what oil was there it completely dried my face up till it hurt for days. Red, Flaking whole nine yards I just switched to a more mild face wash not for oily skin. My face is so oily its just caked on, this is actually helping clear my face up which Ive been trying to do for two years now. A little definitely goes a long way with this lotion. Ill edit later and add a picture before using it then after.

Use in the last step of your AM routine. Apply liberally to face, neck, and chest.
